Audience Feedback

After completing the final thriller opening, we asked some members of our audience for some feedback in order to see if we were successful in creating something that appeals to them.

Aspects of our opening that were effective:

"It's definitely intriguing enough to make me want to see more! ...I liked the build up and the titles - the font is clear and sets a tone (horror/whodunit) '. I liked the camera angles too, not too samey"

"I love the cinematography, the transitions from scene to scene and the landscapes"

"I like how the voices sound echoey and the train clips."

"I liked the transition with the close up of the eyes."

"I liked the storyline, it flowed really nicely and build up with the use of sound effects. And I liked your use of location! Murder at a train station is a cool idea"

"The filming is good - I especially liked the running shots. I also thought that the editing on the title was really cool."

Aspects of our opening that could have been improved:

"I found the music a little too loud in some places to her what was being said. And I wasn't sure how the cardboard box fit into the story... maybe I need to see more?"

"I found the words a little indistinct/quiet at some points, but it didn't stop my understanding of the film too much"

"Some parts were a bit busy - too much sound at once - and it was tricky to follow at times."

Overall Opinion of the opening:

"Overall it looks good, maybe tweak the sound a little but it certainly impressed me!"

"I'd definitely watch this whole movie - the ending was gripping and I liked the special effects."

"Overall I think it looks really well edited and the story is believable."
